I just read this great blog post that says it all.
What he says at the end: “As tired as I get, once I climb out of the pool, I’m ready to take on the rest of the day, because I have already shown myself what I’m capable of in the water.”–is something that was true for me even when I was in the early stages of pregnancy and swimming first thing.
My workouts have been on dry land recently for various reasons. I am busy, but getting a routine in where I am conditioning my body pretty hard at least once a week, and trying to do regular pilates, and walking and tae bo. I even pulled out the exercise ball for those days when I don’t really have time to exercise. I bounce on the ball instead of sit in a chair while I homeschool the children. That goes over big, let me tell you. Can you spell distraction?

I’m glad I can do something when I can’t get in the pool. But don’t misunderstand. I am counting the minutes until I can get back in that pool.
What do you do when you can’t swim?
